What is Joaloka?
Joaloka means "simply so" or "the simple life," and that's exactly what Joaloka wants to convey to people. Living sustainably is very simple and starts with small, everyday things, for example, in the household. With our natural cleaning products, we offer everyone an easy way to bring sustainability into their homes and reduce their plastic consumption.
Who are the people behind Joaloka?
The brand was founded by us, Judy and Dusan, after a key experience on our vacation. For three years, we have been working on our products in our spare time to meet our high standards of quality and sustainability. You can read more about this in "Our Story" .
How did the idea for Joaloka come about?
Joaloka stands for the love of nature and community. The impetus was our holiday in Mallorca a few years ago: when Dusan tried to fish mussels from the sea for our children with a net, more and more plastic waste accumulated in it. Shocked, we looked at the mountain of rubbish on the beach. We asked ourselves where most of our plastic waste came from and how we could permanently reduce it. The answer was clear: in our own homes, in our everyday lives. That's how the idea for a sustainable cleaning brand came about. Joaloka - simply so!

What are the advantages of our products?
Joaloka stands for sustainability. Our products are socially fair, ecological and biodegradable, environmentally friendly, resource-saving, plastic-free, refillable, Made in Germany, certified, animal-friendly and CO2-saving.
Why should I buy products from Joaloka?
Because you are doing something good for yourself, the living beings around you, and the Earth. You are buying fairly, transparently, and sustainably. Our products are uncompromisingly sustainable compared to comparable products, because our packaging is not only plastic-free, but also compostable, proven and certified by TÜV Austria.
What distinguishes Joaloka's products from conventional cleaning agents?
Our products are plastic-free (except for the spray head of the cleaning bottle) and are mainly based on natural raw materials. They are biodegradable according to OECD standards, refillable and Made in Germany.
Are Joaloka's products sustainable?
Yes! They are plastic-free (except for the spray head on the glass bottles), refillable and durable. Our brushes and packaging are compostable or recyclable. By purchasing a Joaloka product, you leave a much smaller CO2 footprint than with conventional chemical cleaners, which also burden the water in our cycle.
What ingredients do the tabs contain?
- Sodium Carbonate: also called soda. Salt of carbonic acid. Natural raw material.
- Citric Acid: Citric acid. Natural raw material.
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: Plant-based surfactant - from certified palm kernel oil
- Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate: natural water softener based on succinic acid
- Laureth-7: Plant-based surfactant - made from certified palm kernel oil
- Sorbitol: Sugar alcohol - natural base
- Perfume: Fragrance ingredients - mostly derived from natural raw materials
- Colorant: food-grade color – produced petrochemically
Application
What should I keep in mind when using the tabs?
Add the tablet to a 0.5-0.75 ml bottle and mix it with 0.5 liters of tap water. Wait a bit and swirl it to dissolve the tablet completely. Done. After about 10-15 minutes, the tablet will be completely dissolved and you can start cleaning immediately. In the meantime, you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. =)
What should I keep in mind before the next application with Joaloka cleaning tablets?
You should briefly swirl or shake the bottle before each use so that the ingredients can be evenly distributed again. Since the tabs contain no additives, such as stabilizers, deposits may settle at the bottom of the bottle. But don't worry: the cleaning performance remains unaffected.
What type of bottles are best to use for the cleaning tablets?
Preferably glass bottles. They are more durable and simply more environmentally friendly. Microplastic particles can leach out of plastic bottles over time and enter the environment. However, you can also rinse and reuse your old cleaning bottles before they end up in the trash. Our Joaloka glass bottles are made of brown pharmaceutical glass. This reduces UV radiation penetration into the bottle, ensuring consistent cleaning performance.
What is the best location for the cleaners?
For best results, store your cleaning bottles in a place protected from heat and light to ensure they last as long as possible.
Will you also remove stubborn stains/deposits?
Yes, of course. We have tested our tabs for years and optimized their cleaning effect. However, please remember that you are not cleaning with a harsh chemical, but with a gentle cleaning agent based on predominantly natural raw materials and plant-based surfactants. This means that with Joaloka cleaning tabs, you can remove soap and dirt residues very well, even grease dissolves easily, and you get a streak-free shine with a lotus flower effect on your fixtures. For very stubborn, long-standing or oily residues, it is recommended to work with a sponge with a rough surface or brushes. This way, you can also make these areas shine quickly and easily. Shipping and Delivery
How much does the delivery cost?
The shipping costs are €4.99 for orders under €49 within Germany.
For orders over €49, delivery within Germany is free of charge.
How long does the delivery take?
We ship daily with our shipping partner DHL. The standard delivery time for shipments within Germany is 1-2 business days. Depending on the time of your order, shipping preparations may take an additional day.
You will usually receive your Joaloka product within 2-4 business days.
Which countries do you ship to?
Currently, we only ship within Germany. If you wish to place an order in other countries, please contact our customer service for a personalized offer.
How will my shipment be sent and how will I be informed about it?
We ship exclusively with DHL in insured parcels with a tracking number. You will automatically receive the tracking number to track your order via email to your registered address as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. It can take up to 24 hours for DHL to update the status of your shipment and show progress.

How does the return process work at Joaloka?
You can cancel your order within 30 days. Even though we are convinced you will love our products – should you ever be dissatisfied, we will help you with a straightforward and sustainable return process. In this case, you will receive a refund of the purchase price within 30 days of your purchase.

What are stabilizers?
In conventional cleaning agents, stabilizers act as antioxidants to prevent the degradation of colors and the deterioration of fragrances or other ingredients. They are intended to prevent changes in viscosity and odor.
Can I buy the tabs individually?
No. The tabs can only be purchased as a pack of four. This reduces emissions per tab during transport and ensures you always have a small supply at home when you need it most.

Our Joaloka online shop delivers nationwide and climate-neutrally to your home within 1-3 days, with free shipping on orders over €49.
Our products are also available in selected unpackaged stores. Please contact a branch near you in advance, as we do not keep a live inventory of our partners.
